What drives you to do what you do?
I love to be able to connect with people on a personal level. They invite me into their homes and I really get to know them. Even though it seems simple to have your carpets, tile or furniture cleaned, my customers get to enjoy a refreshed home while I get the satisfaction of providing those services for them. I feel that it is more than just providing these services, it is also my way of connecting with our community.
What motivates you?
A second chance at life…After being diagnosed with cancer in 2015, fighting through treatments, and going into remission it became my biggest motivator. When you experience something like that in your life and not knowing what each day will bring, you come out of it with a completely different outlook on life. I am thankful for everyday. My family and children motivate me to work hard and provide them with the best life possible.
What has surprised you most when owning a business?
My customers! I never expected to be able to connect with them on such a personal level. Sometimes I will run into my customers at the beach or the grocery store and we are able to talk as if we have known each other for years. I have created these unique bonds especially with my repeat customers and that is why I love doing what I do.
What is something most people don't know about the business?
I am a small and locally owned business. I stand by my work 100%. My customers satisfaction is my #1 priority. I am honest and do not mislead customers nor do I have hidden fees. I will literally get down on my hands and knees to make sure I complete the job the best I possibly can. People also may not know that 95% of my cleaning solutions are environmentally safe and friendly.
What would your customers say they love most about your business?
I would say that my customers love how hard I work to make sure they are completely satisfied. I take the time to speak with them and find out exactly what their concerns or needs are. I want all my customers to feel comfortable and happy with my service. I handle each job individually to ensure my business is based on my customers personalized needs.
How long have you lived in the neighborhood?
My wife and I were born and raised in New Jersey and are High School sweethearts. We came here for vacation fifteen years ago and absolutely fell in love with St. Augustine. We immediately knew that this is where we wanted to live and raise our two children. Moving here and starting our business is one of the best decisions we have made.
What do you love most about the neighborhood?
We absolutely love the people, the incredible architecture, the beautiful ocean and history of St. Augustine. I have had the privilege of meeting so many people from different walks of life coming from all over the world. Each customer has their own unique story and background on how they ended up here and no matter how different they are, everyone gets together and is part of a tight knit community. This amazes me and is just another reason why I love St. Augustine.
What are your favorite restaurants in St. Augustine?
We love to eat out and support small local businesses. Some of our favorites would be the Burrito Works Taco Shop on A1A, O’Steens, Pizza Time and The Back 40, but that’s just to name a few.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not cleaning carpets or tile?
When I am not working I love to spend time with my family. We love to go fishing and take the boat out and sightsee downtown. It does not matter how many times we have gone out there, we are still amazed by its beauty. The kids love to go the The Alligator Farm, Ripley's Believe it or Not and The Fountain of Youth to feed the peacocks.
